Big News for Augusta area plant lovers! Carrie and PlantHouse are joining forces.

The Plant House, your local stop for all plant care support, plants, and propagations is proud to announce we are joining the team of PlantHouse Augusta at 619 Mullins Colony Dr in Evans. Carrie has accepted a Manager position at PlantHouse and is beyond excited to be bringing all her experience, knowledge, and pest management techniques to PlantHouse starting in March. What began as discussions on supporting each other as woman-owned businesses in June of 2022, Bailey Ryan, founder and CEO of PlantHouse, and Carrie recognized a unique opportunity to further their impact to Inspire Communities to Grow Together by joining forces under one roof - that of PlantHouse Augusta.

Big news for Carrie and The Plant House!

Why the Change? The Plant House started from my love and passion for Plants. While working as a stylist, I began taking horticulture classes and discovered a passion for plant care. Like many of you, as COVID gripped the nation, I began my business by converting part of my home into a greenhouse. I started growing and propagating all the beautiful plants you have come to associate with The Plant House. With my family by my side, we began selling in farmers markets, then on social media and e-commerce, and finally setting up a pop-up inside Trendz Salon. The business took off as I shipped plants across the country, took trips to the nurseries in Florida, and continued to sell to my local community in Augusta. As I considered next steps for my business, an opportunity arose from another woman-owned and family operated business, PlantHouse.

PlantHouse was founded by Bailey Ryan out of her love of terrariums and plant workshops to Inspire Communities to Grow Together - the PlantHouse mission statement. As a young entrepreneur in 2018, Bailey recognized that brick & mortar retail was headed towards a revolution - one with experience firmly entrenched in all aspects. People didn’t want to just go shopping, they wanted an experience. Bailey, alongside her parents, delivered on this need by opening stores across the southeast, growing rapidly to meet their customer’s demands. Before PlantHouse opened their newest store in Augusta last July, Bailey and Carrie were deep in discussion on how to help keep confusion of the businesses (due to the similar names) to a minimum. From those conversations came an idea - a merger of sorts between these two companies in the same community, to deliver the ultimate customer experience.

Benefits for the Community. I am so excited to be making this announcement as it allows me to follow my passion and what drives me - assisting my customers while continuing my education in horticulture and supporting my family. With the backing of PlantHouse, I’m able to bring all my plant care knowledge and pest management techniques not just to the larger Augusta community, but to every community in the southeast through PlantHouse’s footprint. We will also be launching new Plant Care workshops and propagation tips & techniques to the PlantHouse Augusta store.

I am so excited to be starting this next chapter of my life and can’t wait to see all of my faithful customers and friends at PlantHouse Augusta. Until then, you can see me at Trendz Salon through this Saturday February 25th. And keep an eye out for sales as we clear out inventory inventory at The Plant House.
